# What a connected AI can do

> What your AI can do within your permissions, what it can never do, and how to disconnect it.

What your AI can do depends on your [AI permissions](https://docs.ownsite.me/ai-permissions). Within them:

| Part | It can |
|---|---|
| **Home and other pages** | See every version and its files. Make a new version as a draft, check its desktop and phone screenshots, and send you a preview link. Create pages. Set a version aside or bring it back. |
| **Blog** | Read posts, including drafts. Write new posts (always drafts), edit posts, upload photos, change categories, and change the blog's name, tagline and look. |
| **Going public** | Publish or unpublish versions, pages and posts. With **Everything**, it does it directly. With **Can change, asks before publishing**, it asks you first. |
| **Journal** | Only if you opened it to AI, and it can never delete an entry |

Whatever your settings, it can always see your site's addresses and status, read your visitor numbers, and search these docs.

## What it can never do

- Change your account or password
- Change your address or domain
- Delete any version, post or journal entry
- Change your AI permissions

Everything it does is listed in **Recent changes**, with the AI's name.

## Disconnect an AI

Open **AI permissions**, press **···** next to the AI, choose **Disconnect**, and confirm. It cannot touch your site from then on. To use it again, connect it again.

> **Note:** Each AI in the list shows what it can do and when it was last used. **Unverified** after a name means the app chose that name itself, and Ownsite cannot check it.
