# Edit, unpublish and restore posts

> Change a published post, take it down, or bring back an earlier version of it.

Open **Blog**, choose **Content**, and tap a post to open it.

## What you can do

| The post is | You can |
|---|---|
| **Published** | Press **Update** to save changes. Readers see them right away. Press **Unpublish** to turn it back into a draft. |
| **Private** | Press **Save** to keep it private, or **Publish** to make it public. |
| **Draft** | **Save draft**, **Private** or **Publish**, just like a new post. |

Unpublishing never loses anything. The post becomes a draft, and readers can no longer see it.

## Bring back an earlier version

Every save keeps a version of the post.

Before restoring, Ownsite saves what you have now as a version too, so you can always undo a restore.

> **Good to know:** When an AI edits a post, its changes are saved as versions as well, so you can always restore what you wrote.
