Confirming AI actions
When an AI wants to make something public, it waits for you.
With Can change, asks before publishing in AI permissions, an AI never makes something public on its own. When it wants to publish a version, turn a page off, or publish or unpublish a post, it sends you the request instead. The AI tells you: "Submitted. It takes effect after you confirm it in Ownsite."
#Where to confirm
- At the top of Overview, for example: "ChatGPT wants to publish home page version 4 · Confirm / Don't".
- In Ownsite AI's chat, as a card with Confirm and Don't.
Press Confirm, and Ownsite does it right away on the AI's behalf. Recent changes shows which AI did it and that you confirmed it. Press Don't, and nothing changes.
#Good to know
- Until you confirm, nothing changes. Your site stays exactly as it was.
- If an AI asks for the same thing several times, you see it only once.
- A request expires after 7 days. To do it later, ask the AI again.
- Don't want to be asked each time? Set that part to Everything in AI permissions.
