Journal

Markdown

A journal only you can read. Write, search, look back, and export.

Your Journal is a Private Page. Only you can see it. It never shows on your blog or home page, and no AI can read it unless you allow it. See Let AI read your journal.

#Write

Press Write, then choose a kind: Journal, Gratitude, Morning, Evening or Mood. You can add a title, a mood, photos and #tags.

Entries save as you type. If your connection drops, the entry is kept on your device and marked Not synced yet. It saves as soon as you are back online.

Note:

If you edit the same entry on two devices, Ownsite asks which one to keep: Use the saved one or Use this device's.

#Find

  • Calendar: see which days you wrote, month by month. Tap a day to read it, or Write on this day.
  • Search: search for words or #tags.
  • On this day: what you wrote on the same day in earlier years.

#Keep it safe

In Me you will find:

  • Recently deleted: deleted entries stay here for 30 days. Press Restore to bring one back.
  • Export as text (Markdown) and Full backup (JSON).
  • Add to home screen: on iPhone, open it in Safari, press Share, then Add to Home Screen.

#Share your journal

If you want others to read it, open the journal's Settings and make it a Public Page. Ownsite first tells you how many entries, moods and photos will become public. After you confirm, everyone can read it at D/journal. You can make it private again at any time.
