Journal
Let AI read your journal
Your journal is closed to every AI by default. Open it to read, or to read and write.
By default, your journal is Off for every AI. Neither Ownsite AI nor any AI you connect can read it, or even see that it exists.
To let an AI help you look back on or organize your journal, open AI permissions and set Journal to one of these:
| Setting | The AI can |
|---|---|
| Off | Nothing (the default) |
| Read only | List, search and read your entries. Photos come as links that expire after one hour. |
| Can write | Also write new entries and edit existing ones |
No setting lets an AI delete an entry. Before an AI edits an entry, Ownsite keeps a copy of how it was.
Entries an AI writes stay in your journal. They never appear on your blog or home page.
Changes apply right away. Set it back to Off, and the AI cannot read your journal the next time it tries.
#Only one AI
To allow only one AI, open the journal for all, then give every other AI its own setting of Off. See AI permissions.
